The Mighty Albert (formerly the self-appointed mayor of Elmore Street) is many things - a record label, an online store, and host of multidisciplinary workshops in Western Massachusetts.
The Mighty Albert workshops take place in western Massachusetts occasionally throughout the year. Typically held on weekends or long weekends and featuring fine musicians, writers, and other exceptionally talented instructors, the days are packed with seminars and workshops and the evenings are free for exploring the nightlife in surrounding towns, to catch up on the latest novel, or to continue working on the skills you came to hone. Limited to 12 students, the workshops provide the concentrated and focused atmosphere necessary for a truly memorable and valuable experience. Accommodations are at gorgeous New England inns with specially prepared meals at Elmer's General Store in the heart of Ashfield, Massachusetts. Located 128 miles west of Boston and 185 miles north of New York, Ashfield is one of many lovely hilltowns in western Massachusetts. With its quintessential small-town fall festival, summer theatre series, writer's retreat, and summer and winter outdoor activities, Ashfield maintains a quiet and calm that folks cherish year after year. Escape to The Mighty Albert and have some fun!
Here you can purchase CDs, DVDs, books, songbooks, and other items from Chris Smither, Peter Mulvey, Suzy Becker, Jeffrey Foucault, Kris Delmhorst, Redbird, and David Goodrich. The finest from the finest.
